摘要
作为一部数百年来主要传唱于云南姚安、大姚、永仁、牟定地区的彝族史诗,《梅葛》具有多方面的功能。即敬神拜祖、驱鬼除秽、祈福纳吉的宗教功能;民族历史、传统文化的承载与传播功能;凝聚群体意识、规范个人行为的社会功能;悦神娱人、男欢女爱的娱乐功能。多种功能相互关联,又相互渗透,并随着社会发展而变化。
The Epic Meige of the Yi Nationality has a history of hundreds of years and is popular in the area of Yao＇an, Dayao, Yongren and Muding. Its multi-functions like religious functions, diffusing functions, social functions and entertaining functions include the fol- lowing： worshiping God and ancestry, exorcizing ghosts and evils, praying for happiness, carrying and popularizing ethnic histories and cultures, enhancing the group consciousness, regulating the individual＇s behavior, entertaining God and men and expressing love. These functions are closely related to and change with the social development.
