The revolutionary poets as a group represented by Mao Zedong, Chen Yi and Zhu De reveal to us the 20th-century Chinese revolution and construction in their traditional poems. Their poems are open-minded, ambitious, consistent in pursuit and truthful in expressing noble feelings. They have inherited the tradition but have had their own contribution. Thus, their old-style poems in the 20th century should have a praiseworthy position in the history of modern and contemporary Chinese literature.
