摘要如果政治意味着优雅和客气,而经济意味着节省和效率,那么,政治和经济这两个目标就经常抵触。经济学家宣称没有"免费的午餐",资源是有限的,人们必须作出选择;另一方面,政治家则依靠鼓吹"免费的午餐"而生存。总之,政治的坐标是短暂的,"政治家既没有爱,也没有恨,支配他们的是利益而非情感"。
