The Great Gatsby is believed to be a representative work by F. Scott. Fitzgerald, one of the most famous American novelists. It is considered to be a real reflection of the Jazz Age in the United States. Based on relevant theories of literary stylistics, this paper tries to explore and analyze the stylistic features of the novel from lexical and grammatical aspects, and aims to explain how the aesthetic effects and thematic significance of this novel are created by the writer' s linguistic choices.
