Xu Bo was a famous book-collector and writer in the Ming Dynasty, who wrote plenty of postscripts and colophons. His works covers a wide range of contents, such as, the origins of books, identification of genuine or fake books, jottings and personal impressions, collations of the classical literature, making judgments or comments. His writings are characterized by rich in content, short in length, free and unrestrained in style, and great value combing out and study of Xu Bo＇ precise and appropriate in wording, small and in academy and literature. The article aims at making comments on his prefaces and postscripts so s academic thoughts, collection of books and literature as to penetrate the academic activity of the achievements.
