优ＩＡ／Ｂ在我地迅速发展和推广，为农业生产作出了重大贡献。为了加速繁殖高纯度、高质量的杂交水稻种子，供生产上应用，采用集团选择技术，减少原种圃环节，缩短生产周期。
You I A is one of the popular CMS lines being widely-used in hybrid rice production, but it is not stable enough in its male sterility. To multiply high quality and high purity seeds for the need of production, the group selection method was used to the multiplication of You I A & B, in which three nurseries, viz, selection nursery, plant line nursery and production nursery of breeder's seeds, were included. Through this method, the seed purity and spikelet sterility of You I A has been as high as 99.86% and 100%, respectively. The method can also simplify the production procedure and shorten the time of foundation seeds production.
