ATM MULTIMEDIA PERFORMANCE EVAONLUATION

本文首先给出了可变速率业务(VBR)和不变速率业务(CBR)等几种不同业务类型的信源模型,并以解析和计算机模拟相结合的方法构造了ATM通信中多媒体业务的混合模型,最后根据模拟结果对这些业务在 ATM网中的共同作用及由此导致的QOS差异进行了比较、分析和探讨。

This paper presents the general considerations that are involved in modelling a typical private ATM network architecture first. Then it gives VBR, CBR and data sources models using analytical methods . Finally, it reports the performance e-valuation results in which two multimedia services , VBR voice with data and CBR voice with data , are built and compared by making use of these models in tlie computer simulation.
