The development of Binhai New District of Tianjin has been put into the general developing plan of the No. 11 Five Years Plan by the State, which brings an unprecedented opportunity to Tianjin Port. This paper gives a brief introduction of Binhai New District, researches its current developing status, analyses the historic opportunity the development of Binhai New District has brought to Tianjin Port. It points out that Tianjin Port should seize this opportunity, speed the construction of port, and realize its leaping development.
