《王茂荫集》作为王茂荫研究的最新、最基本资料,不仅有历史学的价值,而且具有重要的文献学的意义。就其新增的《王侍郎遗稿》而言,价值甚大,而瑕疵亦不能免、疏漏亦颇多。究其原因,在于整理者资料搜集未能扩大视野、资料整理未能悉心精研,造成王氏资料编辑、点校、注疏中的诸多不足。

As the newest and most basic information of Wang Mao-yin＇s study, Wang Mao-yin＇s Corp us not only had the value of history but also had the meaning of philology. Though the newly added Assistant Minister Wang＇s Posthumous Manuscript had great merit, there were many defects and mistakes in it.As far as the reasons are concerned, on the one hand , the collator could not broaden his view during the datum collected;on the other, when collated the material,he was not able to exert himself to study intensively.
