Thorough the information technology application in electrical industry, it is imperative under situation to set up a city area network （CAN） system for connecting all. This paper introduce basic concept of MPLS technology, it＇s superior than other CAN transmission technology, existing state of the MSTP equipments supporting MPLS, and analyzed the MPLS technology feature and advance in CAN transmission network.
