专题地图是分析和表达数据的一种强有力的方式,而专题地图符号是专题地图语言中最基本而重要的组成部分。专题地图的性质决定了专题地图符号的多样化。本文通过对用户的认知特征和专题要素表达方法的研究,设计实现了制作专题符号组件系统,以向用户提供充分实现其想法的人性化的工具和算法。

Thematic map is the powerful and useful means to analyze and represent the data.Thematic map symbol is the important and elementary part in the thematic map language.The characteristic of thematic map causes the diversity of thematic symbol.In order to explore methods and tools with which users can realize their imagination successfully,the authors study user's cognitive characteristic,analyze thematic feature representation and design symbol making components for thematic map based on the computer feasibility.
