浅析劳伦斯·韦努蒂的解构主义翻译策略──读韦努蒂的“翻译,社区,乌托邦”及其他

On Lawrence Venuti’s translation policies of deconstructionism——Some Thinking about Venuti’s Translation, Community, Utopia and others

劳伦斯·韦努蒂在其文章"翻译,社区,乌托邦"中,主张在翻译的过程中,译者应该努力去建立一个社区,使该社区成为沟通两国语言文化的桥梁。但是十全十美的翻译又是乌托邦式的空想,翻译的目的是要表达语言和文化的差异。本文通过介绍劳伦斯·韦努蒂解构主义翻译策略中的几个重要概念来彰显这种差异。他批判英语翻译中的归化策略,揭示翻译话语中的民族中心主义和文化霸权主义的实质,此举旨在为翻译确立自身的地位,即翻译具有自身存在的价值。

In his article ＂Translation, Community, Utopia ＂, Lawrence Venuti proposes that in translating ,the translator should try to establish a community which is a bridge of languageand culture between two nations. But the perfect translation is an Utopia. The objective of translating is to express the linguistic and cultural difference. This paper introduces some important concepts in his translation policies of deconstructionism to demonstrate this kind of difference. He criticizes the domestication in translation and posts the nature of the national centralism and cultural superiorism in order to establish the position of translating itself, i.e., translation can be read translation which has its value of its existence. His translation policies of deconstructionism give a＂ new explanation to the meanings of the translating activity.
