摘要
本文运用波特的产业竞争战略理论,分析不同规模产险公司应对产业外部因素的能力、在产业内部的市场地位和盈利能力。中小型产险公司虽然在某些市场和领域内对大型公司造成了相当大的冲击,但在应对产业外部因素影响的能力、在产业内的市场地位和盈利能力等方面,都处于弱势地位,因而在战略上面临严峻的挑战。中小规模产险公司要应对面临的战略挑战,必须实施集中差异化战略,以创新为手段,着力培养核心竞争力,形成局部优势,改善市场地位,提高销售和盈利能力。
This paper analyzed the market position, profitability and responsivity to external challenges of P&C companies of different sizes, using Porter's Competitive Strategy Theory. Even though small to medium P&C companies can have significant impact on large insurers in certain markets or fields, they are at a weaker position in terms of their overall market position, profitability and responsivity to external challenges. Therefore they are facing with grave strategic challenges. For small and medium-sized P&C companies to meet those challenges, they must implement the focus and differentiation strategy, improve their core competitiveness by means of innovation to form their local strengths and to enhance their market position, sales and profitability.
