In order to find a fast and effective method to inspect the pH value （characterize the causticity of the waste and scrap of material） among the environmental indexes on the waste and scrap of textile, fiathead electrode is introduced to measure the pH value on the surface of waste and scrap of textile by contrast and confirmation. By investigating the effected factors, the method of testing the pH value on the surface of waste and scrap of textile is proved to be fast, effective, accurate, and it can substitute the method of water extraction. The method of inspecting the pH value on the surface is suggested to be a testing method as industry standard recommendation.
