生活于魏晋易代之际的阮籍和嵇康,失去了实现政治理想抱负的社会环境,于政治上处于失意状态。对于现实的苦闷、生存的困境,阮籍和嵇康力求从隐逸生活中寻求精神的解脱、人生追求的至高境界,但现实的束缚使他们的超越异常沉重。

Ruan Ji and Ji Kang lived in the period when Wei Dynasty was changing into Ji Dynasty. They lost the social environment to realize their political ambitions, and became frustrated at their official career. They tried to extricated themselves from their seclusive lives, to achieve peaceful spirit, to pursue their ideal realm of lofty thought. However,the fetters of reality made it difficult for them to surpass the obstacles, and they surpassed heavily.
