Study of Jin Yu-fu's Hunting for Northeastern Historical and Geographical Literature in Japan

金毓黻是研究我国东北史的著名学者。1936年他以考察文物为名前往日本,进行了3个月的访书活动。发现了许多稀见的或中国亡佚的典籍,他以东北文献为中心,兼及一些与东北史地相关的著述,进行了搜求浏览,在有关舆地、北部边防、北方少数民族及辽海史事等方面颇有收获。对于研究东北史、东北民族史裨益匪浅。

Jin Yu-fu is a well-known scholar specialized in the Northeastern history of China. In 1936, he went to Japan to hunt for historical relics. In the three months of his research, he discovered a lot of rare or lost literature in China, which urged him to further seek detailed literature concerning Northeastern history and geography. His discovery in the field is of great benefit to the study of Northeastern history and Northeastern national history.
