A Survey on Chinese Rural Household Borrowing in 2006

本文对北京大学中国经济研究中心宏观组设计实施的"2006年农村家庭借贷情况调查"所返回的样本数据进行描述和简要分析。第一节主要介绍调研目的、内容、方法和样本情况。第二节对分户抽样调查所反映的数据进行描述和分析,主要包括借款发生额和年底余额、来源、需求、期限、用途、方式、月份和利率等特征数据。第三节对村级数据进行描述和分析,包括正规金融机构网点数据和农信社贷款情况。

This paper provides a description and a brief analysis of ＂Survey on Rural Household Borrowing 2006＂ designed and conducted by Macro Group of China Center for Economic Research, Peking University. The paper firstly introduces the aim, content, methodology and sample of the survey, and then describes and analyzes data from household sampling survey, including amount, year-end balance, sources, demand, term, usage, way, month and interest rate of rural household borrowing. Comparative analysis of borrowing from Ru- ral Credit Cooperatives （RCC） and the full sample borrowing is highlighted. Finally, the paper describes and analyzes data from village-level survey, including network of formal financial institutions and RCC lending. It also includes an independent description and comparative analysis of village-level data from Chuzhou region, Anhui province.
