诗歌英译的意象传导初探

A tentative study on imagery transfer in the translation of poetry from the perspective of Palmer’s cultural linguistics

帕尔默的文化语言学理论从根本上说是关于意象的理论。意象是通过语言产生联想反映在头脑中的图像。诗歌是语言的精华,意象是诗歌的灵魂,诗歌中的美感效应必须通过具体可感的意象表现出来。

Palmer＇s cultural linguistics regards the image as its key concept. Image is the representation through language of sensory experiences which describes physical experience in terms of mental schema. Poetry is the soul of the language and image is the fundamental element in poetry . Based on the basics of Palmer＇s cultural linguistics, this paper analysis the patterns of poetry＇s＇ image combination and suggests several methods of the translation of image.
