A Tentative Study on the Curriculum Design of the English Major

本文旨在研究扩招后高校英语专业的课程设置问题,并就此提出了针对不同学生制定不同的教学计划、夯实相关专业知识课、丰富实践教学环节及建立本科生导师制等方案。

A burst of problems, concerned with the enlarging enrollment of China＇s universities and colleges, have arisen. This paper makes a tentative study on the curriculum design of English major after this. A number of proposals, aiming at providing some more high qualified English majors for the new economy, have been put forward, including making two sets of teaching plans for the two groups of students, laying a solid foundation on concerned subjects, enriching teaching, and setting up a director for each student and the like.
