艾兹拉·庞德是现代主义诗歌运动的旗手与领袖,他对美国以至世界诗歌都产生了重大影响,处于建构时期的中国现代都市诗当然不可避免地有着庞德影响的痕迹。庞德所重视的现代都市一瞬间的"震惊"体验,在中国现代都市诗中体现为不同的表现形态:这既有面对都市的雄奇与伟力的毫不掩饰的惊奇与赞美,也有初到都市产生的不适与迷惘,还有长处于都市的落寞与漂泊。庞德对20世纪中国现代都市诗创作主体"现代"诗派与左翼诗的影响有着不同的侧重点:庞德对"现代"诗派的影响,主要体现在情感的复杂多义与表现情感多义的手法上。中国左翼诗人则主要在对劳动者的歌颂与礼赞和对都市罪恶的批判等主题表现上接受了庞德影响。

Ezra Loomis Pound （1885-1973） was the leader and standard-bearer in the movement of modern poem creation. His poem produced the important impact in America and the world.
