分布式超媒体数据库系统的系统结构和组成

Temporal Index Mechanism for Multimedia Database

叙述了一种分布式超媒体数据库系统（ＨＤＢ）的系统结构、节点和链模型以及系统的组成。ＨＤＢ具有分布式宏文献结构，采用超媒体形式的节点和链来管理多媒体信息，可以实现过滤浏览、基于内容检索、多级导航等功能。ＨＤＢ由超媒体数据库创建、表现与查询、宏文献服务器、媒体服务器。

In order to efficiently manage temporal objects in multimedia database, especially to improve the performance of time retrieval, this paper presents an index mechanism based on time intervals. This kind of temporal index can support quick search of temporal objects in an arbitrary time interval, support many kinds of temporal relation operators, and support many time aggregation functions and temporal JOIN operations.
