齐风泱泱盈淄博

Zibo:A Famous Historical and Cultural City in Central Shandong

淄博市位于山东省中部,历史悠久,是一座古老的历史文化名城。公元前11世纪,周武王封姜太公于营邱(今临淄),开创了"泱泱大风"的齐国文化。公元前859年,齐献公改营邱为临淄。从此,临淄以地名出现。此后齐国一直建都临淄,历时600多年,临淄成为"海内名都",是全国八大通衢之一。这里还孕育了西晋著名文学家左思、唐代名相房玄龄、清代著名作家蒲松龄等杰出人物。

Zibo City is located in central Shandong. It is a famous ancient historical and cultural city with a time-honored history. In the 11th century B.C., King Wu of the Zhou Dynasty appointed Jiang Tai Gong as the head of Yingqiu （today＇ s Linzi）, and created the culture of the Qi State. In 859 B.C. Yingqiu was renamed Linzi by Qi Xian Gong. From then on, Linzi was taken as the name of a place, and was the capital of Oj State for over 600 years. Linzi is one of the key transportation hubs in China and is very famous within the country. Many remarkable people emerged in Zibo City, such as Zuo Si, a famous litterateur in the Western Jin Dynasty （265-316）, Fang Xuanling, a famous prime minister in the Tang Dynasty （618-907）, and Pu Songling, a famous writer in the Qing Dynasty （1644-1911）.
