经济的发展就像一把双刃剑,既会带来繁荣,也会带来浮靡腐败等负面影响。道光、咸丰时期的传奇小说充分展示了当时被繁华外表所掩饰的浮靡世界,传奇小说中对城市生活的描写为我们了解当时的城市生活提供了鲜活的样本。
The economic development is like a two-edged sword that brought about both social prosperity and negative influence like corruption. The legends written in Dao-guang and Xian-feng periods in Qing Dynasty sufficiently showed a vanity fair covered by superficial boom, especially the city life which afford us a lot of live materials trough which we can understand the city life then.
