近代天津城市边缘区的形成及其结构特征

The Formation of the Marginal Quarter and Its Structural Character in Modern Tianjin

20世纪前半期中国城市化过程,呈现出社会上层聚集城市中心和社会下层沿城市边缘分布的趋势,贫民聚居的边缘区就是在这种背景下形成的。从近代天津城市发展来看,不论是社会空间结构,还是居民的生活方式,边缘区都有明显的不同特征。边缘区的城市下层文化,与租界地区的上层文化,共同构成了互动的近代城市文化结构。

Abstract. In course of the urbanization at the first half of 20th century, there were a tendency what the upper class come together to the urban center and the lower class distributed over the mar- ginal area in Chinese city, and the marginal quarters in where poor people lived were formed. Whether Tianjin^s space structure or the life style of its inhabitant, there were distinctive characteristic in the marginal quarter society. The low social culture from the marginal quarter, with upper social culture from foreign concessions had constituted an interactive framework of modern urban culture of China together.
