American poet Kenneth Rexroth has contributed a lot to the translation of ancient Chinese poetry and the introduction of Chinese culture. Yet the Chinese scholars comment little on his work and some comments are quite negative. This paper tries to explore Rexroth＇ s translation in order to gain a comparatively thorough and objective understanding of him.
