“靓”本是一个古语词和方言词,曾一度消失于汉语普通话中。随着粤语的北上,“靓”由粤方言进入共同语中泛化使用。近十余年来,“靓”的使用在全国尤其是在粤港地区人们日常生活口语中呈现一种滥用的状态,其词义的感情色彩在逐渐发生转移。

＂Liang＂（靓） is originally an ancient and dialectal word. It disappeared from Putonghua for some time. With the population of Cantonese in the north of China, ＂Liang＂（靓） entered Putonghua. The use of ＂Liang＂（靓） became very popular in Putonghua, and its usage became general. In the past decade, the use of ＂Liang＂（靓） was too hot in the whole country, especially in Guangdong and Hongkong, which leads to the abuse of ＂Liang＂（靓） in spoken Chinese, and the affective meaning of ＂Liang＂（靓）transfers gradually.
