摘要
狭义词在语言中出现的频率很高,究其原因,这种现象与人们对世界的认知有很大关联,不论汉语、英语还是其他语言,均是如此。狭义词的隐喻性显而易见,并产生了不同的类别范畴。狭义词与同义词和反义词等有着联系与区别,在学习的过程中,教师可以从认知和理解的角度出发,引导学生去认知、归纳并运用此类词汇,使之扩大词汇量,并由此及彼,增强学生学习英语的兴趣,提高教学质量。
There are abundant narrow sense words in English. Their coinage and existence are due to human beings' cognition of the world. It is the same with Chinese and other languages. The features of metaphor in the narrow sense words stand to reason and some different categories can be tracked. There are differences and similarities between narrow sense words and synonyms and antonyms. English teachers can facilitate the students in teaching practices to learn and master the words in terms of cognition and understanding, to enlarge their vocabulary and, hence to enhance their interest in English learning and improve teaching quality accordingly.
