摘要
韶关是广东的旅游资源大市,旅游景点颇多。旅游景点名称翻译质量的好坏直接影响到韶关旅游的对外宣传和形象。根据旅游景点名称的特点,对韶关的几个著名的旅游景点名称进行分类,并采用“归化”和“异化”的翻译策略,结合几种常用的翻译方法,对韶关几个旅游景点名称的英文翻译进行初步的探讨。
Shaoguan is a big tourist city in Guangdong Province with many tourist attractions.Therefore,the translation quality of tourist attractions' names has great effects on its external propaganda and image.According to the characteristics of the name of tourist attractions,this article classifies some names of tourist attractions in Shaoguan,adopts two translation strategies——adaptation and alienation and unites some common translation skills to discuss the English translation of the name of tourist attractions in Shaoguan.
