作为20世纪后半期文化领域里的一个重要思潮,后现代主义几乎渗透到了当代文化的各个方面,同时它也表明了一种完全不同于以前传统观念的特殊的思维方式。作为一位主要的美国文学创作者和后现代主义的倡导者,约翰.巴思创作了许多具有典型后现代主义风格的作品,《生活故事》就是其中非常著名的一篇。在该故事中,巴思向我们展示了他的革新思想以及后现代主义的典型特征。
As the dominant cultural development of the second half of the 20^th century, postmodernism has penetrated into almost all fields of the contemporary culture and indicated a kind of special thinking mode totally different from the previous traditional concepts. John Barth, the major American literary producer and the advocate of postmodernism, has written many works typical of postmodern style, among which Life-Story is a most famous one. In this story, Barth reveals to us his innovative ideas and typical traits of postmodernism.
