Recent progress of research on aluminum electrolytic capacitors with polypyrrole （PPy） electrolyte of chip type was reported. The effects on the properties of the aluminum electrolytic capacitors and the improvement were introduced. The development of the aluminum electrolytic capacitors was looked into the future.
