Aluminum is the abundant and cheap non-ferrous metal. As a new-fashioned fuel cell, the aluminum air battery has been attaching importance overseas, due to its low-cost, high power and energy density. This paper describes the mechanism of the Al alloy-air battery, and shows the research and advancement about air cathode, A1 alloy anode, catalysts, and electrolyte etc.
