颜元作为教育家,他有着"教以济养,养以行教"的教育经济价值思想。他提倡事功教育,反对空疏无用的讲读,主张教育的内容与社会经济紧密结合,与社会实际生活密切联系;在教育方式上,他重视习行,主张教育与社会经济生活相结合的教育模式。颜元教育经济思想的根源是他的重利观念。颜元的教育经济思想在当今的现实社会中仍然具有一定的价值。
Yan Yuan is a well- known Chinese educationalist, who cherishes the concept of education for economy and vice versa in his pragmatic education closely connected to the society. His educational advocates are deeply rooted in pragmatism, whose educational and economic values are well worth mentioning.
