本文分析了广电改造的网络需求以及当前主流改造技术CMTS在国内应用的一些问题。在此基础上，提出了应用FPON技术进行广电双向改造的系统方案，并从业务性能、建设成本、维护效率、升级途径、全业务运营能力方面对FPON和CMTS做了全面对比。

In this paper, HFC two-way network technical requirements are discussed, and the current main stream technology CMTS application in china is analyzed and concluded. Based on previous conclusions, advanced EPON solution for HFC networks is proposed, and the comprehensive comparison between EPON and CMTS is discussed on network performance/bandwidth, construction costs, maintenance efficiency and costs, scalability and capability for full services access support.
