An Attempt at Implementing Group Cooperation in Business English Teaching

商务英语具有很强的专业性、实践性和运用性。商务英语教学的目标是培养学生在具体的商务工作环境中运用语言的能力。而学生缺乏实际商务知识,没有在商务工作环境中用英语交流的经验,在具体的商务环境下运用英语对他们而言比较困难。这就要求教师寻求适合学生具体实际的教学方法去改善教学效果从而达到教学目的。“小组合作”是商务英语教学的一种新方式,为解决这一问题提供了一条可能的途径。但是“小组合作”不能忽视独立思考。

As one of the ESP （English for Specific Purpose） course, business English is professional, practical and applicable. The purpose of business English teaching is to cultivate students＇ ability of using English in a practical business working environment. But their trouble is the Jack of background information concerning business and the experience of communicating in English in a business setting. As a result, it is difficult for them to use English properly in real working surroundings. Tcachets of business English are therefore required to find out an appropriate approach to solve the problem. Group cooperation may be one of the solutions to the problem, but the individual thought should not be ignored in the procedure of applying group cooperation in business Leaching.
