大学学报特色与使命关系研究

Features of University Journals and Their missions

在编辑学理论关于大学学报的研究中,一个所谓重要的命题就是"特色生命论"。这个命题没有把学报特色与真正的历史使命和功能这个根本关系摆正,难以成立。首先,科学和登载它的学报不一定非要有什么特色,"学术乃天下之公器"。其次,学报是高等学校主办的、以反映本校科研和教学成果为主的学术理论刊物。学报的本质是学术期刊,它的安身立命要求必须按照学术期刊的办刊规律来办刊,放弃自己的历史使命而去追求所谓的"特色",是本末倒置。再次,学报不看重"特色",并不意味着不需要策划也并不意味着放弃地域文化优势的发挥。

Having reviewed a great many papers I think that there is a so-called important proposition, that＇s, ＂ theory of feature-life＂ on university journal, which is one of theories on editing. I think that this is a false proposition, because that it does not deal well with the relation between feature of university journal and historic role and function of university journal. 1. Science and university journal （which is carrier of science） should not always have any feature. Learning is about common rules behind social, human and natural phenomena, ＂learning is the common instrument under the sun＂. First, at present, all of twelve representative views on ＂ feature of university journal＂ have their shortcoming; Secondly, university journal which publish scientific paper should not always have any feature. 2. the historic role of university journal： First, in our country, it is ruled that, university journal is academic one which is organized by universities and colleges and mainly reflect some university＇s scientific research and teaching; Secondly, some successful examples and authoritative viewpoints prove that university journal in our country is the organ for university teachers and students, who make use of that for the aim of conducting research, enriching and communicating thought together. University journal is academic one in essence, so, it must be conducted abide by the rules of academic journal. We should make out what＇s the historic role and function of academic journal and should not put the cart before the horse, that＇s, to pursue so-called ＂feature＂ at the cost of giving up historic role, 3. University journal should not pay attention to ＂feature＂, yet, this does not meant that we need no mastermind. The editorial board should grasp the essence of university journal and make great effort to put the university journal to full use; yet this does not mean giving up the role of advantages of regional culture.
