An Analysis of Public Media's Controlling Society in the Transfer Period

改革开放是我国现代化建设的转型时期,这期间社会秩序失控、违规失范行为日益增多。大众传媒是社会上层建筑中的子系统,在维护社会平稳、有序运行的过程中发挥着不可替代的作用。在现阶段,大众媒体要通过舆论、道德、普及知识等"软控制"方式,使社会成员自觉自愿遵从社会秩序,从而促进社会健康发展。

Public media are a subsystem of social superstructure and play an irreplaceable role in maintaining social stability and order. At this stage, to advance social development, public media should take the responsibihty for making members of society observe the public order voluntarily by moulding public opinions, getting publicity for ethics and popularizing people＇s knowledge.
