西藏阿里地区丁东居住遗址发掘简报

Excavation on the Dwelling Site at Dingdong in Ari Prefecture ,Tibet

丁东居住遗址位于西藏阿里地区札达县东嘎乡,是皮央·东嘎遗址的重要组成部分。2001年试掘了3座石砌房屋建筑遗址及1处立石遗迹,出土遗物包括铜器残片、圜底陶器、石磨盘及炭化青稞等。遗址的年代大体相当于西藏考古学中的"早期金属时代",对认识西藏西部早期文明具有重要意义。

The Dingdong dwelling site, an important part of the Pi ＇yang-Dongga site with ＂Buddhist remains＂ as the main body, lies at Dongga Township of Zanda County in Ngari Prefecture, Tibet. Its extant vestiges include a monolith and the foundations of some dozen stone houses, of which three were revealed through trial excavations in 2001. Among the unearthed objects are fragments of bronzes, round-bottomed pottery, stone querns and carbonized highland barley. In date the site corresponds roughly to the remains of the Warring States and Han periods in the Central Plains and belongs to the ＂early Metal Age＂ in Tibetan archaeology. This is the first prehistoric dwelling site excavated in western Tibet and has great significance to understanding the early civilization of this region.
