摘要
更敦群培是20世纪上半叶一位杰出的藏族学者、启蒙思想家,为后世留下了丰富的学术研究成果和文学作品;同时,他也是一位在藏族传统绘画和非传统绘画方面都颇有造诣的艺术家。他的艺术活动主要包括早年安多时期、拉萨时期和南亚时期,并创作了不少绘画作品。他作为上世纪最早受西方绘画和艺术思想影响的藏族画家,在西藏现代美术发展史上有着特殊的意义和地位。文章根据近年来陆续发现的更敦群培的绘画作品、有关其艺术活动的文字资料以及收集的口头采访资料,系统论述了更敦群培短暂一生的艺术活动、绘画作品及其艺术思想。
Gedun Chosphel was an outstanding Tibetan intellectual and enlightened thinker of the early 20th century. Except his other achievements, he also was a mastered painter both on traditional Tibetan painting and none-traditional Tibetan painting. His carters generally were included Amdo period, Lhasa period and south Asian period, and he made many paintings during these times. As an earliest Tibetan painter who received western art influence, he played a pioneer role in modern Tibetan fine art history. According to the recently founding of Gedun Choephel's paintings, published materials and interviews, the author discusses his art careers, paintings and concept on art.
