This paper analyzes the problems in the graduation practice of structural engineering major from the construction of graduation practice bases, the perfection of tutoring methods for graduation practice, the use of graduation practice model of the combination of concentration and decentralization and the combination of industry, learning and research, the perfection of management system for graduation practice, etc. It demonstrates that the tutoring model for graduation practice can emphatically cultivate students＇ ability to do things by hand, to observe, and to analyze, and comprehensive ability, and has great effects on students＇ social ability, ability to collaborate with others, organizing ability, moral character, working attitude and style, and thus improves the quality of graduation theses.
