First, the disadvantage of traditional methods for controlling the cost of construction projects is pointed out in the paper, Based on analyzing the relationship between activity sequencing and cost of construction projects, the tlme-cost tradeoff is discussed. And, it is indicated that time-cost tradeoff is very important to control the cost of construction projects. Only with the optimization of time-cost tradeoff, can cost be controlled effectively in construction projects.
