论文提出"非正常死亡"概念是难以操作化的,同时中国20世纪50-60年代的人口数据质量并不太高,影响了对大跃进与困难时期的人口研究,因此当前对当年的人口损失研究是无法精确化的。

Partially because the concept, abnormal death, is not cleared defined and very difficult to measure, and also because of the demographic data quality of China from 1950s to1960s is not satisfactory, the research of the population loss during Great leap is affected and it is not hard to have a clear conclusion on the the population loss of that time.
