摘要
晚清时期,西沙群岛丰富的自然资源、军事上的战略枢纽地位引起了西方列强的觊觎。为了捍卫国土主权,晚清政府派员实地勘察了西沙群岛的人文环境和自然资源,并采取措施加强西沙群岛的开发建设。
During late Qing Dynasty, Western Great Powers drew attention to the rich resources in Xisha archipelago. In order to safeguard the national sovereignty, late Dynasty government appointed the officials to make reconnaissance of the humanity and natural environment and implemented some measures to strengthen the development of Xisha archipelago.
