试论英汉文化思维差异对英语写作的影响及启示

Influence of Difference between English and Chinese Modes of Thinking on Discourse Organization and Strategies of Teaching College English Writing

大学生在英语写作中存在很多问题,究其原因,相当一部分是由于英汉文化思维模式的差异引起的。因此本文从英汉文化思维模式的差异出发,具体从3个方面分析了思维模式差异对大学生英语写作中语篇组织的影响,并由此提出在大学英语写作教学中教师应注重培养学生的英语思维能力,以帮助学生用英语语篇思维模式来安排自己的文章结构,从而写出地道的英语文章。

Based on the discrepancies between English and Chinese modes of thinking which are supposed to be the core reasons for the problems existing in college students English writings, this paper analyzes the effects from three aspects where the discrepancies are produced on the discourse organization of writings. As a result, the author proposes that college English teachers should focus on the training of the students＇ ability of thinking in English in the teaching of English writing to help the students organize their compositions according to the English discourse patterns and thus compose idiomatic English writings.
