摘要
隐喻究其本质是一种认知现象。人类的概念系统通过隐喻手段构筑;人类语言中词义的发展变化也主要源于隐喻。认知隐喻应用于英语词汇教学,有助于学生准确地记忆词汇,系统地拓展语言表达。
Metaphor, in essence, belongs to a cognitive phenomenon. Our conceptual systems are constructed by means of metaphor. Besides, the development and changes of lexieal meanings in our languages mainly originate from metaphor. If the theory of cognitive metaphor is applied to English vocabulary teaching, it will, to a great extent, help English learners remember words quickly and appropriately, and expand linguistic expressions systematically.
