长江委水政水资源局是水利部在长江流域和西南诸河的派出机构，国家授权其在上述范围内行使水行政管理的职能。该局自１９９０年１２月成立以来，在制定流域政策法规，水资源管理，取水许可审批发证，水行政执法等方面做了大量的工作，使长江流域的水行政管理逐步走向规范化、法制化的道路。

Water Administration and Water Resources Bureau of Changjiang Water Resources Commission (CWRC) is an agency of Water Resources Ministry in charge of Changjiang valley and south-west rivers. Authorized by the state, the Bureau is responsible for water administration in above mentioned regions. Since its founding in December,1990,the following works have been conducted: formulating the valley policy and instituting regulations; water resources management; examining and approvinPg water use permit; enforcing the laws of water administration.These works have progressively led the water administration of Changjiang and south-west rivers into a standardized, legalized way.
