Philosophic Reasoning and Sense of Freedom of Ji Kang

嵇康哲学的矛盾性源于其哲学内在的理性精神和审美情怀之间的张力。在养生和处世中,嵇康既处处透显出理性的运思路径,又时刻充满了空灵潇洒的精神气质。这二者奇妙地构成嵇康哲学的内在框架。嵇康的精神自由感,有时经由理性升华,而有时纯因审美超达。

The contradiction of Ji Kang＇ s philosophy is derived from the tension between rationalspirit and aesthetic feeling. There is not only rational cognition but also aesthetic sensibility in his works about staying healthy and conducting way. The two aspects form the structure of his philosophy strangely. Sometimes, the sense of freedom was brought forth by transcending reason, and sometimes, it was produced just because of aesthetic feeling.
