From the change of profession to the social disintegration:social reshaping in a Hui people's village

本文基于实地调查资料,论述了一个回族村落城市化进程中的社会变迁。研究发现,该村落社会转型的动力是城市化和市场化;转型机制是职业分工、生产关系、权力等级分化等因素的合力作用;其社会政治结果便是总体型社区向分化型社区转型。

Based on data collected from field investigation, the essay studies the social change in a Hui people＇ s village in the process of its urbanization. The research has found that the driving force for the social change in the village is its urbanization and development of its market economy; the reshaping system is based on the combined functioning of social division of labor, production relationships and power sharing system on the basis of social status; the socio-political end of the change is an overall reshaping of the village from a generalized type of community towards a compartmentalized one.
