Objective To study the biomechanical properties of pelvic floor tissue for the rabbit and compare them to look at differences and similarities between the delivery and the un-delivery group. Methods 16 New Zealand female big white rabbits were divided into delivery group and un-delivery group. Specimem of the pelvic floor were tested in tension experiment to determine its stress-strain relationship, the creep and the stress relaxation test. The instrument used is WDW4100 almighty test machine by PC controlling. Results The ultimate strength and the maximum stiffness were obtained for the obtttrator internus and the Ziji tendon, as well as the stress-strain relationship and the viscoelasticity. Conclusions The biomechanical properties of the pelvic floor for the delivery group and the un-delivery group are obvious difference. It may be helpful to the clinical study for the human pelvic floor and the development of obstetrics , gynecology and urology..
