以英国为圆心的流散——评奈保尔的《河湾》与希尔的《黄河湾》

The Diaspora Taking the U.K.as the Center of the Circle——A Comment on Naipaul's A Bend in the River and Hill's A Bend in the Yellow River

流散现象尽管由来已久,但它很少在文学研究中得以深入的探讨。本文选取两部文学作品—维·苏·奈保尔的《河湾》和贾斯汀·希尔的《黄河湾》,从意象和叙事视角两个方面来详细分析其中的流散特征,探讨了其异同,这在国内尚属首次。从中我们可以看出,尽管两部作品的流散性有很大的不同,但也有着诸多共同的表现;尤其是它们的流散轨迹都是以英国为圆心、以英国到非洲小镇和中国运城的距离为半径、沿着不同的方向运行,圆的形态大小有别,但中心都是英国。

Though there has long been the phenomenon diaspora, it has not been studied deeply in literature. The author analyzes the diasporic features at length in V.S. Naipaul＇s A Bend in the River and Justin Hill＇s A Bend in the Yellow River, from the images and narrative focalizations in them,which is studied for the first time in China. Therefore, we can sense that though there are great dissimilarities in their diasporic features, there are still some similarities between them; especially, both of the diasporic lotuses of the two works take the U.K. as the center of the circle, and the distance to a small town in Africa and Yuncheng in China as the radius. The circles might vary in size, but the centers of both are the U.K..
