Objective To investigate the effect of a new-type sutureless magnetic bilioenteric anastomosis stem for one-stage reconstruction of bilioenteric continuity after aeute bile duct injury. Methods The models of acute bile duct injury and bile peritonitis were established in dogs. The sutureless magnetic bilioenteric anstomosis stent was used to reconstruct the bilioenteric ontinuity onestage in the case of bile duct with severe inflammation. The effect of the stent was then determined and compared with that of the traditional manual anastomosis. Results The stent was safe for use and there were no anastomotic leakage and infection. Biliary tract imaging showed that the anastomosis was unobstructed and there was no obvious stenosis. Histological examination revealed that the anastomosis healed well, inflammation reaction was slight and collagen lined up in order. Conclusions It is safe and feasible to use the stent to reconstruct the bilioenteric continuity one-stage under the condition of severe bile duct inflammation.
